The first day trip in a decade (maybe?). We went to the Mendips where most people managed to get beyond Sump 1 in Swildon's Hole in the short time we had. All in all a successful and enjoyable venture.

First SRT trip of the year. A break in the apparently ceaseless rain and snow up North allowed us a great tour of Kingsdale on Saturday, with groups visiting Bull Pot, Jingling, and Aquamole. On Sunday those not broken by Saturday caving (and the evenings games) had a splash up Valley Entrance.

The second freshers trip to Wales. Several long trips into Aggy, Saturday and Sunday, and brief visits to Eggy combined with a debaucherous evening of Pumpkin carving make for an excellent weekend.

An excellent turn out for the first trip of the year, with lots of new, excited cavers! There were several trips in Aggy on Saturday and again on Sunday.

A preterm trip to get everyone in the mood for caving. This time a trip to Large Pot on Saturday and a look around Easegill on Sunday.

Canyoning in North West Italy - after the success of our trip two years ago, a small band of cavers headed to Val D'Ossola for a week of roofless caving.

Hello 2016 freshers! Welcome to the Imperial College Caving Club website. If you are interested in caving, you've come to the right place!

A list of our upcoming trips can be found above. There's lots of useful information for new and prospective members here like trip reports: a typical Wales (fresher's) trip and a typical Yorkshire trip.

You can email us on our gmail if you have any questions, or you can join our facebook group to get the latest info on trips and socials.

Our next appearance will be in Beit Quad at Fresher's Fair, maybe we will see (or have seen) you there. On Wednesday 5th October we have a talk on our cave exploration expedition at 12pm in Union Meeting Room 4 (all welcome), followed by an equipment familiarisation session (read: climbing in trees with our caving kit) in Princes Gardens at 1 pm (and every Wednesday at 12pm thereafter). Also find us at the Union Bar, every Tuesdays from 7pm for beer and wildly exaggerated tales of past caving adventures - look for a caving helmet to find us!

Here's a video from last year's president, describing the caving club. Fortunately for you, this year's president is far more photogenic.

A pre-expo jaunt to Agen Allwedd, for a last look at easy horizontal caving before Slov and to let next year's keen leading team learn its twisting passages in time for freshers trips next year.

A week long tour to Andalucia for cheap wine, beautiful country, and of course huge caves. We visited Sima Cacao (an ICCC favourite), the epic El Hundidero - Gato, Sima Cabra (of Don Quijote fame), and managed to squeeze in some canyoning and via ferrata.

On Saturday we plumbed the grim depths of East Kingsdale; crawling, squeezing and grovelling through the most unpleasant squeezes Vespers, Spectacle and King have to offer. To reward our hard work, we made Sunday sunny and went to Alum Pot for a photo-tastic multi-descent extra-vaganza.
